The Tour

The decks will be on exhibition at the ICA, London, from June 30th to July 7th, 2007.

The project's going to be happening on Saturdays throughout July and August. Each event will last roughly four hours and will be open to the public and skaters alike (entrance fees apply in London, Newport and Leicester. Normal park session prices). The dates are:

Saturday July 7th
Saturday July 21st

The day will run like this:

12-12.30pm:
Registration for jam/comp
12.30-2pm:
Jam/comp
2-3pm:
Demo
3-4pm:
Prize giving/general skate

Get involved

The best way to get involved is just to come and skate the event. At each venue, there will be an amateur comp which will just be a general jam (no pressure!). The winners from each competition will be invited to join the tour, skating on behalf of one of the commissioned artists, creating an inter-city/artist v artist skate competition. By the time the project hits Middlesbrough, there will be about twenty amateurs, all touring with the project and all having a great time.

As well as that, a newspaper covering all the events will be produced and distributed, free, through the skateparks and galleries at the end of the tour. This will be an 88 Shades of Grey/www.beastmangoat.com publication.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their cameras along to the events and submit your best pictures for inclusion in the paper. To do this, mail your pictures to:

dave@beastmangoat.com

There are also plans for a DVD, so bring along your video cameras too. Once you've got the footage, contact:

mark@amongtheliving.org

Obviously, anyone whose pictures or footage gets used gets a full credit and free copies of the paper and DVD
